This September will be our 32nd ACA Arizona Retreat and will be an experience of a lifetime. Click here to see pictures. For 2016 we had registrants from at least 26 states and 2 countries. We sold out in June. Our retreat is a balance of focused meetings, workshops, free spirited fun, fellowship, and recovery. Mingus Mountain is located 1.5 hours northwest of Phoenix Arizona in the Black Hills mountain range. The camp is about 20 minutes up the mountain from the historic artsy ghost mining town of Jerome, 2 hours from Old Town Scottsdale, and about an hour from the “mystic powers” of Sedona. For those of you from other states, that makes the retreat about 2.5 short hours from The Grand Canyon. The camp site is 121 acres of forest and meadow, surrounded by the Prescott National Forest, at an elevation of 7,600 ft. Our retreat site is near overlooks with sweeping views across the entire Verde Valley to the red rocks of Sedona and the San Francisco Peaks of Flagstaff. Unlike hotel venues, we have exclusive use of a large private serene multi-facility retreat camp, in the middle of a forest, on top of a majestic mountain. The night skies at camp are dark, and those of us from the city marvel at the countless stars visible from the mountaintop.
If you time it right, you can stand with the Hang Gliders at their mountain-top launching pad, where they jump to soar in the skies over the mountain and valley below. So come on up and enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery, serenity of the cool pines, great 12-step fellowship, plentiful food, intensive workshops, and lots of fun.
The all inclusive cost of this 3 day event is only $140 ($20 discount for hotel guests and campers with tents). Day passes are $75. Take a minute and think about what a bargain that is. Wouldn’t it cost you $50 to stay home and cook 6 of your own meals? Read more about the retreat by clicking on the blue “more details” button below. For those of you from outside of Phoenix, flights into Phoenix during September are generally affordable. Space is limited , so register early! Feel free to print a flyer for your home group here.
This retreat is our 32nd, and you don’t want to miss it.
